Vedic Meditation Instruction Course
with Tim Mitchell
6-9 June 2024 (4 x 2 hr sessions over consecutive days)
Only rest dissolves Stress...and Vedic Meditation gives Reliable Access to Profound Rest. |
WHO IS IT FOR?
Vedic Meditation is specifically designed for “householders” – that is, for people who do not live monastic lives, who are engaged in the challenges and joys of living. This is an important point. There are many practices ‘in the market place’ that are in fact designed for reclusives, and so are not suited to us and our lifestyle. This distinction is not well understood. People from all walks of life and all ages enjoy the immediate and long ranging benefits. Anyone who learns properly can do it! WHY DO I NEED IT? Because stress is the ‘thief in the night’ the unseen effect that robs us of our energy, our enthusiasm and our ability to fulfill our desires. And only REST dissolves the effects of STRESS. Not that extra drink, not the action movie, not strong physical exercise. They make us feel good in the short term, but do not neutralize its effects. Do you remember the effect of really good night sleep? Was not the next day better even though the demands were the same? Vedic Meditation will spontaneously calm the mind and body from the agitation of stress and fatigue. WHAT WILL IT DO FOR ME? * Reduce tension and anxiety * Increase resistance to stress * Improve memory and concentration * Improve your learning ability * Increase energy * Improve health * Reduce insomnia * Improve your ability to enjoy life * Increase self esteem * Improve relationships * Reduce biological ageing Mary's Vedic Meditation Journey
I began meditating in 1996. it was the very first step on my 'journey' of understanding that there is 'more to this life than just doing it'. Since then I have studied and practiced many different meditation techniques as part of my Ayurveda and Yoga teacher training, and in other traditions. In mid 2022, following a particularly challenging time when I lost my Mum I contacted my friend and colleague, Tim Mitchell, and said I'm ready. Tim had been waiting in the wings to teach me Vedic Meditation for over 15 years and a few different 'signs' told me now was the time. Having now experienced the sheer simplicity and benefit of this technique I can't help but wish I had asked sooner. So, I am excited for you to to be welcoming Tim back to Newcastle for what will be his 4th Introductory Couse and the continuing expansion of our local Vedic Meditation Sangha (community). More information: To talk to Tim about undertaking the introductory course you can contact him on 0407 275 712 or at [email protected]. |
