No-one would argue the importance of living a life that is authentic, but how many of us feel we are truly doing that at the moment? It’s a lifetime’s work, for sure. As Joni Mitchell sings, “Life is for learning”. Sometimes, life-events/life-stages offer an abundance of opportunities that allow us to re-assess the authenticity of our life, to check-in with ourself and to reset/reinforce the inner compass. And sometimes the experience is so over-whelming it can block the view. If you find yourself there now, take care, and read on. If you feel like now is the time to re-assess, great. We may have what you’re looking for I’d like to preface this next bit by letting you know we are not gurus or spiritual healers. We are not New-Age-anything. We don’t even offer you the answers. We’d like to but we don’t have them. However, we do know that we each have our own wisdom. We help re-connect you with that so that you can build on it and maintain it yourself. We use the tools and knowledge handed down to us from our teachers – Yoga and Ayurveda. It’s hard not to think of Wisdom as something that resides in the mind. But in Yoga and Ayurveda, Wisdom is said to reside in all layers of your being. So our approach reflects this. We talk a lot about Awareness Yoga and other reflective practices, yogic life-style, ayurvedic diet (read: tasty, simple, whole, vegetarian food) and regular daily routine are the cornerstones of the Ubud retreats Mary and I run twice a year. Maybe some part of you is reading these lines and saying, “Oh, Yes!” There’s so much more that could be said, but there is no substitute for the experience. If it feels like the right time for you, check out the Events. It’s all about living a life that is authentic.
